About Keryk

The message arrives.

We send the messages that make cash on delivery work: order confirmations, parcel tracking, sign-in codes. For online stores in Morocco, then the rest of North and West Africa.

The name

Keryk comes from the Greek herald.

In ancient Greece, the kêryx carried messages between cities. He held the kerykeion, a staff that guaranteed safe passage: whoever carried it, the message got through.

It is the only promise we make to our customers. The confirmation SMS leaves with the order, the reply comes back, the store knows what to ship.

The colour

A purple made off the coast of Essaouira.

Our purple is called porphyra, the murex dye reserved for emperors. In antiquity it was made on the Purple Isles, facing Essaouira. We use it sparingly, on plenty of white: the rarer it is, the more it counts.

What guides us

Three rules, for every message.

  • Merchants first

We talk about confirmed orders and parcels that don't come back, not technology. Developers have their own documentation.

  • Calm and clear

No exclamation marks, no emoji, no invented urgency. A product that touches money has to earn trust.

  • In the customer's language

French, Arabic and Darija, with the shop name first, so every SMS is recognised at a glance.

The team

Built in Morocco, for stores here.
